Since March 2021 Henrik Ahlers is Country Managing Partner and Chairman of the Management Board of EY Germany. Before he was heading the EY Tax practice in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and was the workers director for EY Germany.
He is a lawyer and tax advisor and has many years of experience as a partner in the field of transaction tax consulting. Having gained more than 25 years of experience in project management in national, cross-border and global projects, he mainly advised global and mid-cap clients from the automotive and mobility industry. The focus of his advice was on transactions for strategic investors and tax and legal reorganizations. In addition, he is a lecturer for tax law at the University of Osnabrück.
Before joining EY in 2000, he worked for four years as a lawyer in audit.
