Michael Förtsch, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Q.ANT, a start-up that promotes photonic technologies for high-performance computing and quantum sensors. Michael Förtsch studied mathematics and physics as a teacher. He completed his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Light in Erlangen and was awarded the Otto Hahn Medal by the Max Planck Society for his scientific achievements in the field of quantum information processing. After an international research stay at the National Institute for Standards and Technology in Boulder, he started as a strategy consultant at TRUMPF in 2015, from which he founded the company Q.ANT in 2018.
