Dr. Feiyu Xu, CEO of Amber Iris AI Consulting, is an AI expert whose career is distinguished by leading positions in research and industry.
She serves as member of supervisory board of the ZF Group and is a Non-Executive Director of Airbus Group, ChainIQ Group and Zühlke Group. Additionally, she chairs Asia Berlin Forum e.V., fostering dialogue between Europe, Asia, and beyond.
As co-founder of nyonic (July 2023–March 2024), she drove innovations in the area of generative AI solutions to transform industry and the business world. Previously, as Senior Vice President and Global Head of AI at SAP SE, she led the company's AI strategy, integrating AI across operations, products and ecosystems.
As Vice President and Head of the AI Lab At Lenovo Group (2017–2020), she designed and led the Lenovo AI technology strategy, delivering solutions in natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning while shaping the company’s unified data strategy.
Before Lenovo, she was a Principal Researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), leading text analytics research and co-founding Yocoy Technologies GmbH in 2007, a DFKI spin-off company.
She is a recipient of the Google Focused Research Award and DFKI Research Fellow distinction and provides broad expertise across central areas of AI, in particular in AI platform development, conversational AI, knowledge graphs, information extraction, business intelligence and big-data text analytics
Dr. Xu earned her MSc and PhD in computational linguistics from Saarland University and holds a habilitation in big-data text analytics.
